My name is Sally, and I am excited to introduce you to my candle-making workshop. 

 

As a person with a visual impairment, this workshop is deeply personal to me. My goal is to create a wonderful opportunity for social interaction, a sense of connectedness, and a safe space for creativity and development, This is my way of giving back to the community.

Welcome to Sally’s Candle Making Workshop 
for people from all walks of life! 

My name is Sally and I was born with a visual impairment. I can appreciate what it’s like to have unique needs and the difficulties in planing social hangouts or joining activities. That is why I’ve designed this workshop for all of us to enjoy and pick up a new skill along the way. 

 

Making candles is like my personal zen time! Every time I create a candle, it is fun and I feel peaceful and calm. It's not just about candles; it's a reminder that I'm capable of so much more than I might think, I focus more on my capabilities rather than my disabilities, it’s a tangible symbol of what I can accomplish in my life. And you know what? That's exactly what my brand is all about —'illuminate lives & ignite dreams'.

Get ready for a fantastic time that's all about empowering people from all walks of life (including people with disabilities) boosting confidence, fostering inclusivity, making friends, and having fun! I’m super excited to invite you and your friends for a unique experience that revolves around the art of candle making.

To add even more fun to the day, I will have an awesome photo booth setup to take lots of happy snaps of our workshop. Get ready to shine bright and create lasting memories with us!

Event Details: 

  • Workshop Focus: Candle making  

  • Duration: 3 hours.

  • Catering: A healthy lunch is provided 

Itinerary: 

  • Morning tea/coffee, drinks and biscuits provided 

  • Meet, greet and socialise 

  • A fun introduction to the art of candle making 

  • A quick chat about safety in the workshop

  • Select from a variety of jars, scents, colours and labels

  • Prepare jars with wick and mixing colours and scents

  • A healthy lunch with drinks and plenty of time to socialise and make new friends 

  • Hand pouring soy wax, trimming wicks, and labelling

  • Photo booth time! Happy snaps of your candle creations and your new friends 

What to Expect:

  • This workshop is a fun and simple introduction to candle making

  • Open to people from all walks of life (including people with disabilities)

  • There will be wheelchair access and disability toilets 

  • Expect a welcoming space that is inclusive and supportive

  • There will be lots of opportunities for you to socialise and connect with others 

  • Take home two candles and plenty of printed photos
